Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how DMV Office Eats (“d.o.e.”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use dmvofficeeats.com or place an order. It applies to guest checkout and related support emails.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Order details: name, email, optional phone, office, delivery window, menu items, quantities, sauces/toppings, and any allergies or special requests you enter.
- Text message consent: if you opt in at checkout, we store the mobile number in international format, whether you consented, the time, that the consent came from checkout, and the disclosure version. A later STOP or START reply updates that record. We do not use this consent for marketing.
- Service requests: company name, office address, contact name, and email when you ask us to add an office.
- Payment data: payment is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We receive payment status and related identifiers needed to confirm and support your order.
- Technical data: standard web logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) via our hosting provider.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Process, confirm, and fulfill office lunch orders
- Communicate about orders, delivery windows, and support
- Share preparation details with the participating restaurant as needed to prepare food
- Improve the site and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — database and authentication for our app
- Vercel — website hosting
- Email provider (e.g. Resend) — transactional messages such as order confirmations
- Participating restaurants — item names, quantities, sauces, and relevant allergy or special-request notes so the order can be prepared
- Office coordinators — limited delivery/consolidation information for the scheduled drop-off when needed
- Twilio — only if you opt in to texts, so we can send the order and delivery message and receive STOP, HELP, and delivery receipts. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and local storage
The site may use browser local storage to keep your cart while you browse. Payment pages may set cookies controlled by Stripe. You can clear site data in your browser; that will empty a saved cart.
6. Retention
We keep order and customer records as long as needed for fulfillment, support, accounting, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize when no longer needed.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (including HTTPS and restricted database access). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your choices
You may email support@dmvofficeeats.com to ask about the personal information we hold related to your orders, or to request a correction. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Children
The service is intended for workplace ordering by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
